Like the one I posted above--&quot;What will you say when he wants a sibling?&quot; Well, I wasn&#039;t going to consult with him on curfew or whether he has a choice regarding homework, but, yes, on such a small decision as having more kids, only makes sense to ask his opinion. 

And I agree with you about only children being more mature and/or independent (I had read that too) so would be interesting to see how they handle situations. Would be interesting from a literary standpoint.</description>

		<description>I wish I&#039;d seen this post sooner. We also have a son who&#039;s almost three, and while we used to say we wanted two, that&#039;s not likely to happen at this point. From what I&#039;ve read, only children do tend to be more independent and mature for their age, so perhaps they&#039;re better suited to be the heroes/heroines of their own stories than a kid who relies on others too much.</description>

		<description>Awesome post!  I like the way that siblings can, like you said, help put some tension in a story, but I never thought about how having a character be an only child can force the character to figure things out on their own instead of having that sibling to go to.  That&#039;s a really great point :)</description>
